Chocolate Crinkles

Chocolate Crinkles
Yield: 2 dozen

Ingredients

3/4 cups (150 g) brown sugar
1/4 cup (50 ml) light tasting olive oil
1.5 oz (50 g) dark chocolate, melted and cooled
1 tsp (6-7 g) vanilla extract
1.5 large eggs (60 g)
2 tbsp (29 ml) whole milk
1 cup (150 g) all purpose flour
1 tsp (4 g) baking powder
Icing sugar

Directions

1. Combine sugar, oil, chocolate and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat in the eggs. Stir in the milk until well combined.

2. Sift in the flour and baking powder. Stir well and chill for about an hour.

3. Preheat your oven to 375 F (190 C, gas mark 5) and line baking pans with parchment paper.

4. Use about a large spoonful of batter for each cookie and shape into balls. Roll each ball into the powdered sugar.

5. Place the balls on the prepared sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes. While they are still warm, sift some more icing sugar on top.
