Thursday Art and Dinner Date: Pumpkin Pie πŸ₯§

Welcome my Friends, to Thursday Art and Dinner Date!

🎨For our 🎨 Art Date 🎨, today's optional prompt is Pumpkin Pie! Yum yum! Granny's been in the kitchen again and the house smells amazing!

I drew the characters in my sketchbook, then uploaded the images to my graphics design tablet. I added color and outlines, and then superimposed the image on a royalty-free background, courtesy of Pixabay.

For our Dinner Date, I made a delicious pizza!

I made almost everything from scratch. The pizza dough (you can find the recipe on this page), the pizza sauce (you can find the recipe on this page, I ended up blending the sauce) and the goat cheese! I did add some Cheddar though, store-bought. It was really good!

I received my holiday teas this week too! These are hard to find here in Canada. I found them at a shop called IHerb. These teas are really cozy with the chilly weather we're having lately. How is your weather?

  3. Oh wow, your pizza looks amazing, Rain. We really like the CS brand of holiday teas too. My daughter loves their Bengal Spice tea. Those would make a nice gift for someone for Christmas with a pretty tea cup.

  5. Pizza is always an excellent meal. With pumpkin pie or without. Pretty neat how you did Granny's picture. Computer aided art is something I should look into more.

  7. Pizza. The food that works for any meal, hot or cold, at any time of day.

  8. Granny did a fine job baking that scrumptious pumpkin pie. That's a fun piece of art! I always like your Looney Tune paintings. :) Your pizza pie looks yummy! Mmm, there's nothing like home-made pizza!! I think I could eat it every night. :) I buy Celestial Seasoning teas, too. Candy Cane Lane is one of my favorites! The Apple Cinnamon Spice is a nice autumn flavor. I used to buy CCL all the time at Walmart but haven't gotten it there in awhile. The last place I got it was Amazon. Of course, I had to buy six boxes of it. It's a good thing I like it a lot! Sometimes, I'll give a box to each of the kids to remind them of their childhood. Thanks for hosting the creative workshop, Rain. Have a doodletastic weekend!

  13. Dear Rain, I'm so happy that you got in touch after my long blog break and that I can join your Art & Dinner Date again. Granny's Pumpkin Pie certainly smells and tastes delicious! And your pizza looks just as good!

You asked about our weather: We took a lovely autumn walk in a nearby castle park this morning. It was typical November weather with gray skies and only about 6 degrees Celsius, but there were still some colorful leaves and beautiful reflections in the park's waterways, which was fun. Apart from us, there were only dog walkers around πŸ˜‰

    All the best, Traude

  17. The look on Sylvester's face is priceless, Rain! And your pizza is scrumptious looking. I'm glad that you found a source of Celestial Seasonings, a tea my Great Uncle Stan and Great Aunt Louise introduced to me a long time ago ~ ironically in Smith's Cove, Nova Scotia. And now I live in Colorado. If you run out and need some, let me know. Happy weekend!

  18. Sadly I'm not a pumpkin pie fan, but love the pizza! Have you ever tried spelt pizza dough? It has a nice, great flavor and more protein. I need to get out some of our frozen home grown tomatoes and make some pizza and pasta sauce. 60 degrees F today, snow in the forecast in a week! CRAZY weather! Have a great day!!!
