Thursday Art and Dinner Date: 🌫️ Fog 🌫️

Welcome my Friends, to Thursday Art and Dinner Date!

🎨For our 🎨 Art Date 🎨, today's optional prompt is Fog! Poor Sylvester the Cat...when it comes to trying to catch Tweety Bird, he's got the courage of a lion...but when he's all alone with his active imagination, especially in a spooky foggy forest, he's terrified!

This was a fun project to put together. I sketched out Sylvester in my sketchbook, then transferred the image to my graphics design tablet where I cleaned him up a little!

I painted a foggy forest scene with watercolors for the background. I used Payne's Gray for the trees and a very watery mix of gray and white to wash over the dry painting of the trees. I took out a light gray coloring pencil and kind of scratched up the trees to give them a little texture.

I uploaded my painting and superimposed Sylvester on top. I turned down the opacity a little bit then digitally painted in a wash of dark blue to make it look dark and foggy!

Dinner Date: Emergency Brownies

Does your sweet tooth ever gnaw at you until you just have no choice but to give in??? This happened to me Sunday night. I just had to make something sweet, chewy and chocolatey! These were so easy to make and I will share the recipe soon. I have to "test" the recipe out again to make sure I have some brownies left to photograph it's well written. You can tell I was in a hurry, geez, I didn't even take them out of the pan for the picture! I need something healthier to activate that dopamine hit in my brain! πŸ€―

πŸ“½️ YouTube Videos πŸ“½️

Thanks to everyone who watched and commented on my little Thanksgiving video last week! This was the first holiday alone and to be honest, I felt a little lonely. But sharing it with my friends out there made me feel like I wasn't all that alone! ♥ I have a few more videos to share for those interested.

I filmed myself building my firewood storage and stacking the wood. I mentioned 2 weeks ago that it was quite the workout - move over Mr. Olympia! This is one of three recent videos that has gone "viral" as they say, on my channel with over 10,000 views! My hard work is paying off!

I made this short video of Benny in his safety vest as well.

I love these vests, every one of my dogs has one and they glow so I can see them when the dogs are out and about. The mornings are so dark now, these vests always alert me to where they are!

Here is my latest drawing lesson on Rain Frances Art For Kids!

  9. Sylvester is a big scaredy cat like me...well, I'm a scaredy Cathy. :) Foggy conditions are kind of creepy and I certainly don't like being out in the middle of nowhere. I'm reminded of many occasions in the mountains with it being foggy at dusk and we'd get out of the car to do something. It can be mysterious and haunting or unnerving, especially when your nose detects an animal scent. The last thing I want to see coming out of the fog is a big ole hungry bear or wolf or anything else with long sharp teeth. You did a great job and I love how the watercolor foggy woodsy landscape turned out.

You're ingenious coming up with your firewood shed. I hope it stands throughout the winter okay for you. I can imagine just how tiring that project was to complete, but you got it done. Now, you can enjoy some cozy fires in your new stove. That sounds lovely!

Congratulations on your YouTube videos going viral! That's a good feeling, I bet. :) Thank you for hosting the weekly art & food date. I can't believe October has vanished so quickly. Have a doodletastic rest of the week! xo
