🎨For our 🎨 Art Date 🎨, today's optional prompt is November Rain. Tweety Bird is looking a little worried about the downpour outside his window! I admit I did this one in a hurry - not my best drawing! I painted the dark rainy background with acrylics.
I drew Tweety Bird in my sketchbook then added color digitally. In the bottom photo, you can see the technique I used to make the "rainy" background. I painted my canvas with black acrylic paint, then used a toothbrush to splatter white paint across the canvas. I then took a fan brush and swept up to give it the look of rain falling.
This was my initial contribution but then, I figured I should give it a little more effort. 😉
If you're a fan, you know this song and likely the video. It's really good!

Oh, how neat that you made goat cheese! It looks terrific. And I like your Tweety Bird too, pretty neat how you made the rain.
ReplyDeleteThank you Belinda! ♥ The goat cheese turned out very well!
DeleteI love your Tweety - and I also love when it rains! Soon I´ll have cheese with truffles, but it´s from a cow... Thank you for this subject - it reminded me of a handsome guy I once knew.

Thanks for hosting, Rain.
Thanks so much Dixie!♥
DeleteI love your technique for the rain but what I'm really adoring here is the goat cheese! WOW!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanie! I haven't made that cheese in ages and I absolutely love it. It's a regular now, so easy to make too.
DeleteYou did a fantastic job with Tweety! I don't like downpours. I wondered if it was Guns N' Roses that inspired this theme prompt. :) Your charcoal rendition is nice, too. I don't have time to watch your tutorial but will get back to it later. It looks like something fun to try. Thanks for hosting the creativity, Rain!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest Cathy, I don't know what inspired the prompt. I write the year ahead prompts each November, which reminds me....I need to get them ready for 2026!!!
Delete...Rain, soon it will be snowing here. Take care and be warm, well and dry. Have a Nifty November.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom! (ps. don't mention the "s" word yet please!!!) ☺
DeleteCheese making does look amazing, Rain, but it’s not a project for me. Always enjoy your video presentations. No rain in NH except for the coming weekend😕
ReplyDeleteThanks Dorothy, the cheesemaking is fun, but time consuming...but of course very rewarding! ☺
DeleteTweety is always welcome 😄 Thank you for sharing and for hosting ❤️
ReplyDeleteHa ha, thanks Heidrun! ♥

PS: My email has been dead for about a year. PPS: Your cheese looks gooooooooood.

ReplyDeleteThanks Sis! ♥ I'm very much enjoying the cheesemaking, but I need to start branching out more and trying new ones...take the plunge!
DeleteI love how you combine art and food in such a personal, playful way. Tweety in the rain is charming, and your technique for the rainy background really brings it to life. And homemade goat cheese. What a treat. It’s inspiring to see creativity flow both on canvas and in the kitchen.
